Right now, our grocery bills are soaring, with some common vegetables more than doubling in price. Part of the reason is that there’s a nation-wide shortage of leafy greens, but there’s also a bigger force at play: inflation. Inflation is now at a higher level than anytime since 1990 and the cure for inflation could involve more economic pain for many of us.
