#38 The story of Kat

Today, I’m glad to welcome Kat on Acne Stories. Based in Southern California, Kat experienced acne for the very first time during puberty, due to a hormonal unbalance. Getting things under control thanks to the contraceptive pill, her acne came back three years ago when she found herself in a difficult situation and on the top of that, the anxiety triggered by her job did not make things easier. Switching to natural skincare and adapting her diet... these are solutions Kat tried altough it did not really make a difference. She then started to become very self conscious and acne really affected her mental health ! Going back on forth to the dermatologist since her teenage years, Kat decided at some point to stop taking antibiotics as well as the birth control pill and started to research about hormonal unbalance, tried supplements and eventually met a naturopath who helped Kat to figure out what to do. She genuinely opens up about the emotions she went through and shared her tips to gain in confidence and to feel better, living with acne. Enjoy listening !
