The potential of scaling up existing mineral mining has been criticised by the opposition and conservationists as the Government revealed its ambitious vision for doubling mineral export value over the next decade. The Government has ended first home buyers grants, they say, shifting the money to fund about 1500 new social housing places to be provided by external organisations instead of Kāinga Ora. Obviously people are being caught up in the 'fast tracking' of this cut and we'll show you one of those stories tonight.
