#BHN The Free Speech Union got so close to practicing what they preach

The Free Speech Union released a statement supporting the rights of people to protest by burning the Israeli flag. The got so close to actually being what they claim to be which is an organisation who has free speech at the apex of everything they do, because in the press release it made it clear that 'yes' people are free to burn flags, but some on the left are being hypocrites as they supported hate speech laws, and these actions would have fallen foul of these laws. We agree. But what they didn't do was point out many on the right, who have called themselves 'free speech absolutists' are equally being hypocritical as some of them have been looking to suppress speech around Gaza.
