In this episode, I talk with Aeisha Mastagni, a Portfolio Manager in the Sustainable Investment & Stewardship Strategies Unit at the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS), the second largest public pension fund in the United States with $285 billion in assets under management. Aeisha also serves as a director of Golden 1 Credit Union, California's leading credit union and one of the largest in the United States with over 1 million members and assets over $16 billion. In this podcast, we discuss her corporate governance career including time at CalPERS, her current focus on ESG and sustainability, and the concept of "active stewardship" where we talk about the ExxonMobil case.
