EP 28 - Should You Outsource or Do Your Own Bookkeeping?
Bookkeeping can be overwhelming BUT it doesn't need to be! I truly believe that most of you can do your own books for your business. In today's episode, I tell you who I think should be outsourcing and who I think should be doing their own books. Who should outsource? 1) If the thought of doing your own books puts you in to a deep and dark place of misery then maybe you should outsource. However, I still recommend that you give it a shot because you never know! 2) If you are running a brick & mortar or a very labor intensive business that requires you to be focusing on the other aspects of your business from 8-5, then outsource. Who should do their own bookkeeping? 1) New (and Seasoned) Entrepreneurs who have minimal expenses and financials transactions who can give an hour or two a week to keeping up-to-date on their books. 2) Anyone who is willing to dedicate some time setting up their books and monthly transactions because let's face it, once you have done the initial set-up in QuickBooks, the software will do most of the work for you! 3) Anyone who isn't afraid to learn new things and who is ready to have a better understanding of the financial side of their business!
