Urbex 25 Exploring catacombs, subways and rooftops with French photographer Jonk (jonjonkkkk)

Chasing Bandos UrbEx Podcast - Een podcast door Greg Abandoned - Zaterdagen

Today's interview is with a French explorer Jonk. We talked about his beginnings with urban exploration and his photography inspirations. We spent protracted amount of time reminiscing about his numerous Chernobyl trips (Jonk visited the Zone 7 times!). We dived into the heart of Kazakhstan and discussed in details the "urbex holy grail" sitting and rusting away in the huge hangar. Jonk described his crazy timing of his Buran mission and how risky and lucky he was in the end. We also discussed the process of creating a photography book, what it entails and we discussed the reasons for entering photography competitions. Jonk also shared a funny, but potentially disastrous story, when a dog almost bit his “family jewels”. You can see Jonk's gallery on his Instagram at jonjonkkkk or you can visit his website jonk-photography.com Chasing Bandos Podcast is available on chasingbandospodcast.com or your favourite podcasting app. Check out the pictures of our guest on Instagram at chasingbandospod.
