095 Save The Last Dance (2001)

We wrap up September's Back to School theme with the story of a girl who moves to a new high school in Save the Last Dance (2001). We discuss with our friend Dara how the movie addresses (or doesn't address) themes such as race and cultural appropriation, and how this approach might be problematic, in addition to what made it feel like such a fresh and exciting film when it was released.
