J began their journey as an educator nearly 15 years ago as a Teacher for America corps member in Washington, DC. After 5 years there, they joined Teach for America Staff as a Coach. Eventually, J returned to the classroom to deepen their understanding of what’s needed to equitably serve students. Kristen and her guest really dive deep into what black educators mean to Black SEL and what being a black educator really means.
