Be of the same mind

Romans 15:5 Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, We are encouraged today to give glory to God for His amazing love and grace toward us in Jesus Christ. Not only are the Scriptures given to us by God for instruction, but He also gives perseverance and encouragement so we might have hope. God is meant to get all of the glory! That’s why we exult in hope of the glory of God as Paul wrote in chapter 5. Don’t these verses in Rom. 12-15 encourage you to live to love with Jesus until the end of your days so God will be glorified in your life? If so, that is the work of God in your heart and life. If He does the work, He gets the glory. That’s what is so exciting about the gospel. We learn from the gospel that all things are from Him, through Him, and to Him as Paul wrote in 11:36. He gave the Scriptures to let us know He was sending His Son, Jesus. Then He sent His Son to accomplish righteousness and bring us to God. Then He sends His servants to share the gospel and write more Scripture. And He gives His adopted children the faith to believe and apply the gospel as Paul wrote about in Romans 5:1; 10:17, and 12:3. He gave them faith and grace because He chose to be merciful to them according to 9:16 and 11:32 so He alone would receive all the glory for our salvation. So in light of this, we are to all have the same mind toward each other in Christ—to persevere and encourage one another by bearing the weaknesses of others for the glory of God until the end. Are we doing what the Scriptures have instructed us to do? Do these Scriptures encourage you today to live to love with Jesus for the glory of God? If so, God has given His grace to you. You may rejoice and give Him glory both today and throughout eternity.
