Children of Abraham and beloved children of God.

Romans 4:12 and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also follow in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham which he had while uncircumcised. We who believe in Jesus Christ are children of Abraham. We are his children because he was the first to be justified before God through faith in God’s grace and favor. We have followed in Abraham’s steps when we also turn from trusting in our works to trusting in God’s work for us. We understand so much more than Abraham did to encourage us to love and trust. Abraham simply received and trusted God’s promise to him that he would be a father of many nations. We have so much more now. We have the full explanation of God’s love in Jesus Christ and the promise that we will be beloved children of God for eternity. As beloved children, we love with His love for His glory, today.
