Confess with your mouth what you believe.

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - Een podcast door Norm Wakefield

Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; In this verse, Paul gave his readers a summary of what he had been preaching in the first 9 chapters. It’s what the righteousness based on faith speaks to us. You have heard that God raised Jesus from the dead. He lives. You have heard the Jesus is therefore Lord of the heavens and the earth. God raised Him to give His righteousness to all who believe. Do you believe that Jesus was proclaimed by God to be Lord of all and the Christ when He raised Jesus from the dead? Do you believe He is the end of the law for righteousness? Then look how simple and available this righteousness is. Simply quit trying to obtain a righteousness based on the law. Quit saying you have to be perfect or accomplish something to impress God to accept you. Instead, confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord, your righteousness, your peace—if you believe it— and you will be saved. Paul, loving with Jesus, expressed to the Roman church and to us the immeasurable, steadfast, undying, available love of God. Paul’s concern for his Jewish brethren that they not miss the gift of righteousness available in Jesus Christ illustrates for us the same concern we should have for all whom God puts in our paths. They are more than likely searching high and low to find satisfaction in life and an answer to their emptiness and fear of death. Like Paul, we have the concern and the answer. God loves the world through Jesus Christ, whom He gave to be savior and lord to all who believe. Father, fill us with the same concern you have for lost souls and give us the love and boldness of Your Son, so that we can be instruments of Your love. Save many as we live to love with Your Son. Amen. Acknowledgment: Music from “Carried by the Father” by Eric Terlizzi. www.ericterlizzi.com
