Hebrews 10:35 Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. Do we realize the great reward there is if we hold fast our confidence in Christ until the end of our lives? This is today’s live to love scripture encouragement. There is a great reward for those who possess the life of Jesus and live to love with Him until the end. We know that Jesus is our possession if our confidence in Him endures to the end. To have Jesus is to have Him who has promised that He will never leave us or forsake us. Our confidence is in His word and His character. So today’s encouragement is to not throw away your confidence in Jesus’ promise to be with you forever. It’s a lasting confidence that endures every hardship and suffering because His presence and help were promised by the Lord, Himself. We are to never bend or throw away our confidence in this great truth. Heb. 13:5-6 and Heb. 11:6 should be etched in our hearts and minds. Here’s Heb. 13:5-6. "Make sure that your character is free from the love of money [because it can be taken away from you in this world], being content with what you have; [now here’s what you have that is your confidence in life] for He Himself has said, 'I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,' so that we confidently say, 'THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?'" And Heb. 11:6. “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” My dear friends, we are pilgrims, strangers, and exiles on the earth, as it says in Heb. 11:13. Jesus’ presence and help as we live to love with Him is the proof that we are citizens of a “heavenly country,” citizens of a better city that God has prepared for those who don’t throw away their confidence in Him and live each day abiding in Jesus. When we draw near for grace to love with Jesus, we are abiding in Him, holding fast our confidence in what we possess—namely, His promise to be with us forever and to be our Helper. So don’t throw away your confidence in Jesus’ life dwelling in you. There’s a great reward that we will learn more about in the coming days.
