Fan the flame of love with the hope of the gospel.

Romans 8:25 But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. In this verse we see why hope is so important. Since we don’t yet see what we will be, but know we will be like Him when He returns (1 John 3:2), that hope causes us to wait eagerly with perseverance. Enduring love is being developed, both for God and for one another. We experience Jesus’ love growing in our lives and relationships. We know what the end state is: the love of Jesus perfected, so those who are His, are developing toward that glorious hope. Am I describing your experience? Can you say a hearty, “Amen” to what Paul wrote in this verse? I hope so. I want to fan the flame of love with the hope of the gospel that the book of Romans so powerfully proclaims. With the eyes of faith, let us look to the blessed hope of our inheritance as we love with Jesus. It’s what slaves of righteousness do for the glory of God until He comes or until we go to be with Him. Acknowledgment: Music from “Carried by the Father” by Eric Terlizzi. www.ericterlizzi.com
