God gets the glory!

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - Een podcast door Norm Wakefield

Romans 15:6 so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Yesterday I concluded from Rom. 15:5 that we are to all have the same mind toward each other in Christ—to persevere and encourage one another by bearing the weaknesses of others for the glory of God until the end. That conclusion is affirmed today in this verse. God’s purpose in giving perseverance and encouragement through the Scriptures is so that we may unite our voices to glorify our God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ. The way we glorify God is that we declare and affirm that we are one because of His mercy and grace through Jesus Christ. We know we love each other with Jesus, meaning that apart from Him we know we can’t do anything that bears fruit for God. Our love is His love. Our faith is His faith. Our perseverance is His perseverance. Our forbearance with one another is His forbearance with us. Therefore, we forgive each other as we have been forgiven. God gets the glory. We love each other as we have been loved. God gets the glory. We persevere bearing the weaknesses of each other as He has borne our weaknesses. God gets the glory. So join me today as we pray. Father in heaven, thank you for another day of life to know and love you and live to love with Jesus. Anoint and fill us with the Holy Spirit, the presence and power of Christ, so that we can love and trust you and love those you put in our paths today, for your glory. Amen.
