God is making Israel jealous.

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - Een podcast door Norm Wakefield

Romans 10:19 But I say, surely Israel did not know, did they? First Moses says, “I will make you jealous by that which is not a nation, by a nation without understanding will I anger you.” Is it possible that somehow Israel missed God’s good news that whoever, Jew or Greek, calls upon the will not be disappointed and will be saved? Paul indicated that as early as Moses, God informed them that He would love a people who were not descendants of Abraham with a love that would make them jealous. He would love a people who didn’t have the understanding they had of Him. This is encouraging as we love with Jesus. We aren’t responsible for making people understand the gospel. That’s God’s job for His glory. God is still making national Israel jealous by pouring out His Spirit on those who are “not a nation” and are “without understanding.” That’s me and all of you who are not of Jewish descent. Thankfully we can love whoever God gives us each day without wondering if they qualify for or deserve God’s grace. The word is out. God’s righteousness is not far off. It is near. It is not based on works of righteousness which we have done, but on God’s grace so that He receives all the glory. Enjoy looking for where and in whom the Spirit of God is working. It could be anyone. A neighbor, a cashier, a work associate, someone sitting by you on a plane, a policeman who pulls you over, a service technician. Today, Jesus wants to love through us. Let’s do this with Him. Acknowledgment: Music from “Carried by the Father” by Eric Terlizzi. www.ericterlizzi.com
