Hearing Jesus praise and sing

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - Een podcast door Norm Wakefield

Because we are from God the Father as Jesus is, Jesus isn’t ashamed to call us His brethren, (Now we take up today’s Live to love scripture encouragement in Hebrews 2:12. “saying, ‘I will proclaim Your name to My brethren, in the midst of the congregation I will sing Your praise.’” Ok, let’s see if this encourages you to love Jesus and your brothers and sisters in Christ. There’s a world to come of which the writer is speaking (vs. 5), when, if you are a believer in Jesus, you will hear Him proclaim the name of God to you. You are going to hear Jesus sing God’s praise. Pause for a moment and imagine that event. Don’t miss that this wouldn’t be the same without you and me, the “congregation” standing with Him. Jesus is going to praise God, the Father, for giving us to Him as His brothers and sisters by giving Him grace to taste death for us so we could be sanctified to God as testimonies of His glory. Remember, God is bringing many sons to glory. That’s the occasion for the Son’s proclaiming God’s name, His work, to us and breaking out into song with us. As you imagine that moment, can you imagine the love of God swelling up in you and pouring over you? Imagine being overwhelmed by a tsunami of the love of God. Or an eruption of a fountain of His love from within that you can’t contain and bursts forth from your mouth in never-ending praise and song. Dear friend, brother and sister in Christ, the author wanted his readers to see this with the eyes of faith so their hearts would not be afraid in this world. He wanted them to see the glory of Christ. What angel can offer such hope? What is there or who is there in this world that can satisfy the soul like Jesus? The Psalmist in Psalm 75:25-26 must have foreseen what the author of Hebrews wrote of in these verses. Join me in praising God and singing with me if you know the scripture chorus. “Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon the earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart faileth, but Thou art the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” We live to love with Jesus because He is the strength of our hearts and our portion forever.
