Jesus Himself promises eternal life.

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - Een podcast door Norm Wakefield

1 John 2:25 This is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life. What encouragement the Jesus through the apostle John gives to everyone who believes that God sent Him into this world, in the flesh, to give eternal life to everyone who believes and abides in the Son and the Father as he wrote in the previous verse. “If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.” Jesus Himself promised eternal life to those who believe. Here are a few of those times when Jesus promised John and the disciples eternal life. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:36 “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 5:24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. John 10: 27-28 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. We who live to love with Jesus, testify that we have eternal life by living with Jesus, abiding in Him and in the Father through Him. That’s why John wrote in chapter 4 that those who know God, love, and then in 1 Jo. 5:11 he repeats this great truth. “And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.” Everyday that we live to love with Jesus, our testimony to this world is that God gives eternal life through Jesus, His Son, and we have His Son and are experiencing eternal life. We love because He has loved us. To God be the glory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let us be humble and bold as we testify to this world that Jesus gives eternal life to all who believe.
