Jesus is the light and that light is love.

1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. Amazing! This is the life that lives in all believers – a life of light. John wrote that this is the message that he heard from Jesus. John wrote in his gospel, John 1:4 “In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.” In chapter four, verse 8 of John‘s letter, he said that God is love. This leads me to believe that the light of God is love. So when we live to love with Jesus, He is our light, and His light is the light of the world. Let’s consider what light does. It chases away the darkness. It reveals what was hidden in the darkness. It shows the way. It brings warmth and life into this world. Just to mention a few of the blessings of light. That’s what the love of God accomplished as it was revealed in Jesus Christ, and we can have the same impact in our world as we live to love with Jesus today.
