Pray and expect Jesus to love through you.

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - Een podcast door Norm Wakefield

Romans 4:21 and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform. This verse is so encouraging! Abraham gave glory to God because He was absolutely sure that God was able to give he and Sarah children, like He promised. As we live to love with Jesus, we may also have the same full assurance as Abraham did regarding what God has promised us in Christ. The evening before Jesus returned to His Father, He promised His disciples (and all of His followers) that He would send the Holy Spirit, another comforter and helper like Him to be with them forever. The context of this promise was the command to love one another like He loves them. He promised them that they could ask anything from the Father in His name, meaning, with the request for fulfilling the command to love with Him. John 14:13-15 “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” Did you notice what Jesus said? He said, “I will do it.” I think what He means is “I will love through you like I have loved you.” Do you believe Jesus is able to perform what He has promised—that you will experience the reality of Jesus loving in and through you if you will only believe and ask the Father? That’s why I penned the “live to love with Jesus” prayer found in chapter 5 of my book, Live to Love. I hope you’ll pray it with me now and every morning hereafter. Father in heaven, thank You for another day of life to know and love You and to live to love with Jesus. Anoint and fill me with the Holy Spirit, the presence and power of Christ, so that I can love and trust You and love those You put in my path today, for Your glory. Amen.
