We need reminders.

Romans 15:15 But I have written very boldly to you on some points so as to remind you again… These verses encourage us of our own great need to be reminded on some points as we live to love with Jesus. It’s easy to forget, even when we are filled with goodness and have full knowledge of the gospel. We can get so consumed with conflicts, differences of opinion, and selfishness that we don’t think to apply truths we say we believe. Therefore, I want to remind us again of the call of God upon our lives? If we have been raised up with Christ, we were given His life so we might live through Him and He through us. He came to live to love with His Father. The Holy Spirit has been given to us that we might live to love with Jesus. We have His righteousness by God’s grace, so we stand before God in His righteousness and therefore we have peace with God. We have His love poured out in our hearts so we can love with Him. Because of these mercies, our loving with Jesus is a living, holy offering of worship which we know is acceptable to God. Jesus glorified His Father by laying down His life for us. We glorify our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ by laying down our lives for Him. The way we do that is by laying down our lives for one another. We are His body, so when we receive and love each other, we are receiving and loving Jesus. In this way, we become a brilliant testimony in this world that Jesus lives and is the Lord of Life.
