When we live to love with Jesus, grace, mercy, and peace will be with us.

Live to Love Scripture Encouragement - Een podcast door Norm Wakefield

2 John 3 Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. I’m so encouraged by this verse today. What dynamics flow among believers who are in the truth and love with Jesus? John had just said that truth abides in them and will be with them forever. It follows then that when he wrote that grace, mercy, and peace will be with them, that he rightly assumed that those dynamics are present among them because Jesus, the truth, is with them. This is true of all believers in Jesus Christ. John understood that grace, mercy, and peace are with us because they are given to us from God, the Father and from Jesus Christ, His Son. He was compelled by the Spirit to state the fundamental truth that Jesus is God’s Son, who lives in us, and through whom we receive these tremendous blessings. A friend of mine from South Africa recently shared about the grace and peace of God that he experienced from God as he lived to love with Jesus. He had a series of important appointments in the day, and had the peace of Christ in a very full schedule. He was sharing the blessing that had come from starting each day praying this prayer. Father, thank You for another day of life to know and love You and to live to love with Jesus. Anoint and fill me with the Holy Spirit, the presence and power of Christ, so that I can love and trust You and love those You put in my path today, for Your glory. If you haven’t already made this prayer a starting point for your day, I encourage you to do so. If it’s helpful to you, write it in your own words. I think you’ll find you are praying in the truth and love of God, which will open the channel for grace, mercy, and peace to permeate your life each day.
