You are living today with the very Son of God.

1 John 5:5 Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? As we have seen repeatedly in 1 John, the apostle emphasized faith and love as the evidence or assurance that one is a child of God. In these first verses of chapter 5, the spotlight shines on faith—believing that Jesus is the Son of God, who came in human form and flesh, to be the savior of the world. He asked a question: Who is the one who overcomes the world? We might take him to answer, “It’s none but those who believe in Jesus.” I want to encourage you today with this thought from this verse. If you are intentionally living today to love with Jesus, you are living with the very Son of God. He lived a perfect life, loving with His Father. He died for your sins, was buried and raised to life. He has been given to you, to dwell in your mortal body, by the power His Spirit, so you can love whoever He puts in your path and overcome the world. Through Christ, you can overcome the lusts, pride, temptations, and attacks from this world. You can overcome the hatred, persecutions, accusations, and lies by faith in His presence in your life—His life of love. Be encouraged! You are living today with the very Son of God. He is your life!
