Peace Talk Episode 227: What if change looks too scary? What if I believe it requires more of me than I have?

Peace Talk: The Work of Byron Katie with Grace - Een podcast door Grace Bell

An inquirer asks: "I'm at a stage where I've questioned a lot and had some real insights, but I still find it hard in the moment sometimes not to be seduced by the ego into believing images of past/future. I don't feel that I have the strength/energy/bandwidth to make that leap into living the turn arounds. Honestly it might take a change in priorities which also feels scary and stressful in its own way." I see a few wonderful things in this question that may help, if you've had some of the same kinds of thoughts appear:  1. My relationship with thought itself 2. What I believe is necessary to overcome this (strength/bandwidth) 3. The change will ask me to do something scary So much beautiful information here, so helpful for us to find the clues into insight and awareness. It can be like a hidden treasure, buried somewhere...and making the discovery that life wants to reveal for us.  Who would you be without the story that you don't have what it takes...and what it takes, furthermore, is too frightening?  July 9, 2023: Self-Sabotage Mini Workshop (FREE). She has a special love and specific programs for those suffering from eating issues including disordered eating (disordered thinking) of all kinds--having suffered from this behavior and thought/feeling process herself and finding an unshakable peace within around eating, food, health and behaviors with eating.  As Byron Katie offers us (founder of The Work); when we believe what we think, it creates unnecessary suffering. When we question what we think, we feel lighter and less serious about what is. We even begin to laugh. We notice who we really are is peaceful already, a human being living life as best we can--learning, growing, loving.  To receive notice of Eating Peace programs, videos and vlog posts, visit www.workwithgrace.com/eating-peace and join the mailing list.
