A new poll has revealed Australians' trust in the United States has sharply dropped in the wake of Donald Trump's return to the White House. Policy think-tank, The Lowy Institute, has found only 36 per cent of Australians have expressed any trust in the US administration, but a vast majority still believe an alliance with Washington is crucial for national security.
