Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is one of the most common chronic diseases affecting young Australians. Yesterday Radio National Breakfast spoke to Adam Peacock, the father of a nine-year-old girl with the condition, as he echoed calls for better education and public awareness of rheumatic diseases. There was a parliamentary inquiry into childhood rheumatic diseases which handed down its interim findings in 2022, but the inquiry never finished.
