Queensland is rolling out a statewide crackdown on the illicit tobacco trade, as new laws and harsher penalties take effect. The state now has Australia's toughest laws around the commercial supply of illegal smoking products, including tobacco and vapes. Over the past few weeks, authorities in the state's north have seized more than 130 thousand black market cigarettes and almost 40 kilograms of 'chop chop' tobacco in raids.
