Radio National Breakfast — Separate stories podcast - Een podcast door ABC listen

Sudan's paramilitary forces have declared the formation of a government  to rival the Sudanese army, more than two years into a civil war that the UN has dubbed the world's worst humanitarian crisis. The Rapid Support Forces, as they're known, are led by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo,  who says his group is "building the only realistic future for Sudan". But the war has displaced more than 13 million people, and has left tens of thousands of people dead.  Guest: Sharath Srinivasan, Professor of International Politics at Kings College, Cambridge University Producer: Anne Barker
