Manufacturers in the United States have pumped the brakes on their shipments from China amid skyrocketing tariffs, and the effects will soon be felt at West Coast ports. The port of Los Angeles, which handles the largest volume of shipments from China, anticipates its Chinese imports will drop by more than 35 per cent next week compared to the same period last year.
