Star Wars Oxygen Vol. 29

The music of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS reveals many of the diverse influences that inspired composer extraordinaire John Williams. From classical music to his own rich catalog of soundtracks, we are hearing several familiar themes and call-backs. We find examples of music from INDIANA JONES and THE LAST CRUSADE, the STAR WARS prequels, and even HARRY POTTER that found new life in TFA. Plus, we listen closely to the TFA tracks “Scherzo For X-Wings”, “Torn Apart” and “The Starkiller”, we discuss “The Imperial March” in the major key, and speculate on John Williams future in STAR WARS.
