Tara had a small research firm where she had a group of psychologists, and they were getting these great government grants. It was to help promote emotional intelligence in kids. She started to burnout after a while because it’s very difficult applying for these grants and being accepted. She knew she was burning herself out being the CEO, CFO, COO, and research scientist. It was after a traumatic experience where her daughter was beat up and she was asking for kindness. During this time, Tara was feeling very upset and exhausted from the world. She started to see others succeed and it was all about cutting through the fears and stepping into your vulnerability. After that she woke up one morning and knew she was writing a book on kindness.
