Michigan Chef Hajime Sato just took home the James Beard Award for Best Chef in the Great Lakes Category. He’s the first sushi chef to earn the title. We met Chef Hajime Sato around this time last year, shortly after he was nominated for a James Beard in the Outstanding Chef category.
