Understanding the attributes of Christ is the key to knowing our Heavenly Father. 36:58 – Jesus came to earth to make reconciliation for the sins of mankind. He has a perfect understanding of our temptations and suffering. 45:03 – Hebrews was written to Jewish Christians who were wondering if it was really right to follow Jesus. 52:07 – “Let us hold fast our profession” relates to the things we proclaim about Jesus. 54:05 – “No man taketh this honor unto himself.” Around 172 BC, Menelaus controversially became the high priest by outbidding Jason. The author of Hebrews likely references this event to emphasize Jesus’ legitimate claim as the true high priest. 58:29 – Psalm 110 depicts Melchizedek as the great high priest, receiving God’s invitation to sit at His right hand. Hebrews further explores Melchizedek’s role. In the temple, the Saints are encouraged to follow this path and to become kings and queens after the Order of Melchizedek. 1:05:15 – Hebrews 6 warns the Saints to stay on the path following Christ. Joseph Smith told Isaac Behunin that those who join the Church have left neutral ground. 1:11:05 – Possible meanings of the “Two Immutable Things” discussed in Hebrews 6. Hope becomes an anchor to the soul for those that enter within the veil. 1:16:07 – Hebrews 7 discusses Jesus’ superiority to Melchizedek and Levi. Jesus is the Great High Priest. → YouTube → Apple Podcasts → Google Podcasts →
