Pesachim 121: Redemption
Talking Talmud - Een podcast door Yardaena Osband & Anne Gordon

The final daf of Pesachim! [At some point, the app acted up and overlapped our talking again; we hope that this is the last time this happens! (We've been on touch with the people at Anchor)] Notar and pigul - leftover korban and incorrect intent on the part of the officiating kohen.... Not all kohanim were as good as all other kohanim Thus, there were suspected kohanim (intentionally messing up the korbanot) and lazy kohanim (likewise, messing up the korbanot). The final mishnah: Blessings over the Korban Pesach and the korban chagigah - are they the same? Can one include the other? Where how the blood of the korban is handled may make the difference. The end here is a little jarring. After all, we were talking about the Seder; why are we back with korbanot? Perhaps hinting to the ideal of the Korban Pesach. Plus: Pidyon HaBen - regarding the blessing and who makes it. Plus, why we redeem the first born, and the context of Egypt.
