Talking Talmud - Een podcast door Yardaena Osband & Anne Gordon

But for more severe sins, such as taking God's name in vain, repentance is necessary, but atonement will only come through the experience of Yom Kippur as well. And we determine which sins are which in accord with the severity if the respective punishments. Also, a study of "chilul Hashem" - some details of which are surprising as compared to how the concept is applied colloquially in our own day and age. Which seems to be the opposite of increasing the love of God in the world. And wherein not treating people well increases the chilul Hashem. Plus, how great is the greatness of repentance, teshuvah. Note: The distinction between turning to God out of love or fear. And lastly, how specifically must we confess?
