A 15 month old Poll Dorset ram bred in northern Tasmania is off to a new home in Central New South Wales after fetching $41,000 at auction, and the ram named Lyell was sold by breeder Andrew and Caroline McLauchlan from the Valma Stud at Whitemore near Launceston.
