Simplot has come to an agreement with Tasmanian potato growers for a price increase of $9 a tonne and a bonus for the increased price of fertilisers, as farmers say the costs of growing potatoes is increasing also due to the huge rises in land prices for rural Tasmanian property, some of which they lease.
