The God Shot: Romans 8:33

"Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies." (Romans 8:33)This is part of a letter the Apostle Paul wrote to the Christians in Rome who were experiencing persecution and even death because they refused to worship the Roman Emperor. Despite their trials, Paul says God is working out His very good plan to bless them. In fact, God has already given us the most incredible gift of all by sending His Son Jesus to pay our sin debt. We started out as His enemies, but Paul said God chose us and called us to himself as people who have been adopted into God's family. God has the final say. Even though we're sinners, He calls us saints. Even though we're guilty, our debt and our sin have both been paid in full by Jesus. Praise God! He's where the joy is!
