"Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us." (Romans 8:34)This passage is incredible. This is part of what Paul wrote to the Christians in Rome who were experiencing persecution and death because they refused to worship the Roman Emperor. In all their trials, Paul said God is working to bless them. As people who've been adopted into God's family, God has the final say about who we are. Even though we're sinners, He calls us saints. No one can condemn us because the God of the Universe has already declared our future. That would have been so reassuring to the persecuted Christians in Rome, but it's also a comfort to us, too. Christian, there is no condemnation for you! Jesus paid your sin debt in full! It is finished and He is where the joy is!
