Carol Connors has been nominated for 10 major music awards, including two Academy Awards, five Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and one Grammy Award. She is also a two-time Oscar nominee for her songwriting work. She was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song and Best Music for "Gonna Fly Now", the iconic theme song from Rocky, which she co-wrote with Bill Conti and Ayn Robbins.   She was a member of the chart-topping group The Teddy Bears with the hit “To Know Him Is To Love Him,” which was the catalyst for meeting and then falling in love with Elvis Presley.  Elvis wanted to meet Carol when “To Know Him is To Love Him “was the most popular song in the world; he wanted to meet the girl with that beautiful voice! Carol tells the story of her love affair with Elvis in the best-selling book “Elvis, Rocky & Me.” In the book, Carol speaks openly about her relationship with Elvis, which lasted for almost a year.
