Toad the Wet Sprocket formed in Santa Barbara, California, in 1986, while the members were still in high school.   Glen Phillips started Toad the Wet Sprocket when he was just 15. In those early days, the band consisted of vocalist and guitarist Glen Phillips, Todd Nichols, bassist Dean Dinning, and drummer Randy Guss. Since their formation in 1986, Toad the Wet Sprocket has released seven albums, five compilation albums, and seven live albums and EPs.
