JAMES MATEER, MD, RDMS Dr. James Mateer was one of the pioneers in Emergency Medicine Ultrasound applications and was among the first Emergency Physicians to obtain their registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography from the ARDMS. Dr. Mateer has served as the Medical Director of Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute since 1996. He is co-editor for the textbook: “Emergency Ultrasound” and has authored numerous chapters and articles on Emergency Medicine and Emergency Ultrasound applications. He has lectured extensively throughout the United States and Internationally.
