They sail to Middle Earth to engage their foe and his forces, and after centuries of fighting Morgoth is defeated. Hi cunning servant Sauron remains and is tracked by the elf Finrod, who is killed and marked by Sauron. Finrod's sister Galadriel vows to continue the pursuit of Sauron. Galadreil and her company find an abandoned fortress in the northern wastelands of Forodwaith which bears Sauron's mark, but her companions insist that they return to the Elven capital Lindon, where High-king Gil-galad proclaims the war against Morgoth's forces to be over. He grants Galadriel a bitter gift - the honour of sailing to Valinor where she can live a peaceful life for all eternity - as she believes work still remains to rid Middle Earth Sauron and his evil. In the Southlands of Middle-earth, Elves watch over Men descended from allies of Morgoth. To the disapproval of the others, the Elf Arrondir has developed a close relationship with the human healer Bronwyn. Together they discover that the town of Horden has been destroyed, while Bronwyn's son Theo finds a broken sword bearing Sauron's mark. Sailing westwards and close to Valinor, Galadriel chooses to turn back and continue the search for Sauron, jumping from the ship into the Sundering Seas. At the same time, two curious Harfoots, Nori Brandyfoot and Poppy Proudfellow, discover a strange man inside a meteor crater. Episode 2 "Adrift" SynopsisAttempting to swim back to Middle-earth, Galadriel comes across a raft with human survivors of a shipwreck. She is rescued but the survivors come to distrust her when she is found to be an elf. Things turn worse, when the raft is attacked by a sea creature that had originally attacked the survivors ship.
