The Farewell (2019) with Pete Byrnes

Equal parts familiar returning-to-your-hometown story and a one-of-a-kind glimpse into traditional Chinese family dynamics, this film will make you laugh, then cry, and before you know it, you'll be calling your congressional representative demanding “Justice for Awkwafina and Zhao Shuzhen!!” when you discover neither were nominated for an Oscar. Tune in, won't you, stupid child?
